ACS Project Partners

Established in 2008, R4D’s mission is to work with change agents around the globe to create self-sustaining systems that support healthy, educated people – the foundation of a prosperous society. R4D leads the ACS project and is responsible for its implementation, management, and technical oversight.

The Duke Global Health Innovation Center, hosted by Duke University, links global health, health policy, and health innovation efforts across Duke. The center's mission is to study and support the scaling and adaptation of innovations and related policy reforms, to address critical health challenges worldwide. Within the ACS project, Duke supports the research and learning components of the core workplan in addition to providing private sector engagement expertise. Duke also provides additional country-specific support, where appropriate.

In the U.S. and internationally, Feed the Children provides hunger relief, child-focused community development, teacher and student support, and disaster response. They are dedicated to helping families and communities achieve stable lives and to reducing the need for help tomorrow, while providing food and resources to help them today. Within ACS, Feed the Children provides country and community engagement expertise.

Established in 1957, Amref Health Africa tackles African challenges with African expertise. The organization uses a community-based approach to strengthen health systems and train local health workers to respond to the continents dynamic and critical health needs. Within ACS, Amref leads the accountability learning collaborative (ALC) efforts.

Synergos creates, promotes, and sustains trust and collaboration among businesses, government, civil society, and marginalized communities. Their mission is to solve complex issues around the world by advancing leadership to build trust and collective action. Within ACS, Synergos embodies their mission by serving as the country lead in Namibia.

On ACS, RESADE provides cross-programmatic support to Togo and Burkina Faso in addition to activities in the Research and Learning Agenda.

Established in 2010, UHF is a membership association to champion the interests of the private sector in Uganda with over 55 non-state health associations and organizations. As an umbrella body for the Uganda non-state health sector, UHF lobbies, advocates, campaigns, mobilizes and mediates for the private sector. UHF implements programs related to the Uganda health sector and disseminates information and contributes to sector development through lobbying and advocacy activities. On ACS, UHF provides support to the Uganda universal health coverage roadmap's implementation by engaging critical stakeholders and leveraging ACS-developed knowledge products.

CERRHUD is a health research and development center whose mission is to strengthen health research capacity and to develop and implement research programs and interventions for better health in Benin and in Africa. Within ACS, CERRHUD works to support sub-Saharan countries in advancing toward universal health coverage (UHC) by leading the project's learning and accountability work.
